Don't fear god,
Don't worry about death;
What is good is easy to get,
What is terrible is easy to endure.
- a summary of the first four of the forty Epicurean Principal Doctrines (Sovran Maxims) by Diogenes Laërtius in his 'Life of Epicurus'. They are meant as a blueprint for a happy life and are expressed in the original Greek in the track titles above.

'Tetrapharmakos' was originally a compound of four drugs - wax, tallow, pitch and resin - that Roman-era Epicureans used to refer to these four expressed remedies.
